Sabira Moradi is the Senior Program Associate for the Aspen Global Innovators Group. At the Aspen Institute, Sabira supports the Aspen Global Innovators Group’s portfolio of programs tackling overlooked challenges in global health and development. As a Senior Program Associate, Sabira supports business development, grants management, budget processes of all the programs, and manages the Kiva loan program for artisan entrepreneurs. Previously, Sabira worked at the United Nations Department of Public Information, organizing briefing events for visitors on the latest issues on the UN agenda, and supporting the Office of UN’s Special Envoy for the Ocean in organizing a major climate change event, the Ocean Conference, to emphasize the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 14). Sabira also interned at the Office of Financial Services Unit at the Aspen Institute supporting the Director of Finance in managing the process of grants. Sabira holds a BA in Economics and International Studies from Trinity College in Connecticut. Sabira is from Kabul, Afghanistan, and came to the U.S. in 2010 to pursue her high school.
